We need volunteers for a wide range of projects!!

Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age unless accompanied by an adult. Please call or email us for more details.

The following positions are currently available.

Marketing Associate:

This individual will work closely with the founder to follow through on fundraising and promotional issues concerning the rescue. Responsibilities include chairing the annual fundraiser, visiting the local (pet friendly) retail shops to inquire about partnering or supporting the rescue. Keeping brochures and posters in the public eye. Researching and managing our presence at local events when possible. Doggie Events, Rodeos, Cal Expo, Salinas rodeo, possible parades, Art & Wine festivals are some venues just to name a few.


Community Outreach Program Manager (working with the Mini's):

This opportunity is a wonderful way to spend time with horses and the larger community of Santa Cruz County. As our spring season gets closer, we are going to be getting the minis out to visit. This manager would be responsible for executing the outings, and keeping the schedule of the miniatures. They are certified Therapy Animals and are qualified to go to schools, hospitals and retirement homes. This position would be required to make necessary phone calls, schedule visits, arrange additional volunteers to help groom and work each event. You would not be responsible for mucking, feeding, or managing the health care of these little guys. That’s will be done by the Ranch Manager.

We can also always use help with the everyday running of the rescue; mucking stalls/pastures, grooming, feeding, training, general help around the ranch, etc.  Whatever your expertise, we can use your help!
