Rosy's Story

Rosy is the first of what we all hope to be many saved lives. After reading online the horrific stories of horses bound for slaughter, Lynn donated money to Nor Cal Equine Rescue to help save 4 pregnant mares. Lynn remarks, "I fell in love with Rosy and had to adopt her".

"Rosy is probably a  quarter horse and what appears to be a gaited breed. She is only 3.5 years old. Sweet as pie. Because she is the first, Lynn is keeping her in her forever home with her baby to come. But when Tawnee from Nor Cal Equine Rescue mentioned the need to help so many horses was so great, the clarity was overwhelming! Lynn & husband Dave have decided to relocate to acreage where they can rescue pregnant mares each spring. "The more mares I can take in, the more horses other rescues can save. We all should try to do something even if its in a very small way. These animals desperately need us".
